This complements IC1017 and enhances the machining capabilities of TiAlN IC806 and IC804 grades. Suitable for aerospace PVD COATED S10-S25 AlTiN and petroleum industry applications. Base An extremely hard substrate with an ultra-fine grain size that also offers good toughness. The AlTiN PVD coating is suitable for machining hardened steels up to 62 IC1024 HRC. This grade is cost-effective alternative to ceramic and CBN grades. It is recommended for finishing and light interrupted cutting operations, providing high AlTiN H10-H15 deformation resistance. Base K05-K20 A hard substrate with multilayer CVD coating. IC428 Recommended for machining gray and nodular cast iron at moderate to high cutting speeds. Al2O3 Tic H15-H25 Base P05-P15 A very hard substrate with MTCVD coating with a K05-K15 special SUMOTEC surface treatment. Suitable for TiN IC5005 machining gray and nodular cast iron at high cutting Al2O3 speeds under stable conditions. TiCN H15-H25 Base A hard substrate with MTCVD coating with a special K10-K20 SUMOTEC surface treatment. Recommended for TiN IC5010 machining gray and nodular cast iron at moderate to high cutting speeds, provides very good Al2O3 resistance to chipping. TiCN Base M05-M25 A hard substrate with cobalt enriched outer layer and CVD COATED MTCVD coating and a special SUMOTEC surface TiN IC6015 treatment. Suitable for finishing and medium turning of stainless steel at high cutting speeds. Features long tool Al2O3 S10-S20 life and high wear resistance. TiCN Base A very tough substrate with MTCVD coating with a M15-M35 special SUMOTEC surface treatment. Recommended for machining stainless steel at moderate cutting TiN IC6025 speeds and medium to high feeds. Features very high Al2O3 S20-S30 toughness with excellent results in heavy machining TiCN operations, unstable conditions, and interrupted cut. Base P10-P25 A hard substrate with a cobalt enriched layer, MTCVD M10-M20 coating with a special SUMOTEC surface treatment. K10-K25 Recommended for high speed machining of steels, alloy TiN IC8150 steels and martensitic stainless steel with moderate feeds under stable conditions. Features excellent Al2O3 thermal stability, resistance to wear and plastic TiCN deformation durability. Base P15-P35 A tough substrate with a cobalt enriched layer and M15-M25 MTCVD coating with a special SUMOTEC surface treatment. Recommended for general use machining of TiN IC8250 steels, alloy steels and martensitic stainless steel in a Al2O3 wide range of conditions. Features high toughness and TiCN good wear resistance.
