Increased Feed Rates
Increased Material Removal
Increased Tool Life
RESULTS
The changes made to the application combined with the high performance geometry of the
KSPT Series 33 End Mill resulted in an annual gain of 104.25 production hours. In addition to
meeting the goal for improved cycle times, tool life was increased from 20 to 240 parts per
tool. This reduced the tooling cost per part by 91%, allowing the end user to achieve a total
annual cost savings of $263,100.
