The measuring instruments used in the production process have to provide undeniable correct measured values for technical as well as le- gal reasons. To ensure this, the devices have to be regularly calibrated and traced to national standards. In section 7.6 of the quality standards from the norm family DIN, EN, ISO 9001: 2000, is defined: "If necessary to ensure valid results, the measuring equipment must be calibrated or verified at fixed intervals or before use. This, in turn, is based on measurement standards that are attributed to international or national measurement standards. " The Mahr measuring equipment management assures this for the measuring parameter length, among others, by operating the calibra- tion laboratories DKD-K-05401 and DKD-K06401, which are accredit- ed by the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt PTB Braunschweig. The calibration for an order takes about 2 days, for external brands approx. 5 days; a later calibration approx. 8 days. Delivery ex works plus packing costs. To calibrate a new ordered tool initially, please attach "-KAL" to the size.
